THE DREADED D-WORD

Boy, do we love a good deadline – and for once we’re not even being sarcastic. We see deadlines as vital to the success of both our and our clients businesses, as it ensures that we 1) deliver on time, 2) exceed expectations, and 3) make a date to pop the bubbly.

The 6 Types of Deadlines

#1 The ASAP deadline:
This is not a real deadline. Don’t say “as soon as possible” when you’re actually asking for the impossible.

#2 The “Haha, yesterday?” deadline:
Two things we don’t joke about: deadlines and cake. So give us a realistic deadline and never lie about cake.

#3 The urgent-not-urgent deadline:
You need it urgently, we send it urgently… and then weeks go by – until it’s urgent AGAIN.

#4 The “it’s on you now” deadline:
Yup, we also give our clients deadlines – and we can only meet our deadlines, if you meet yours, kapeesh?  

#5 The “oh, didn’t I tell you?” deadline:
“Oh, didn’t I tell you that my boss needs to see it earlier?” Please don’t toy with our emotions.

#6 The to-the-point deadline:
We LOVE a good ol’ “this is when I need it” deadline. Simple, no frills and to the point – should we kiss you now or later?
