We Hate that We Love AI. Here’s Why…

We Hate that We Love AI. Here’s Why…

We’ve been working with AI a lot lately – not in a hype-driven “it’s going to change our world forever” kind of way, but in the day-to-day reality of getting-good-work-out-the-door kind of way. And somewhere along the line, we realised we’re in a full-blown love-hate relationship with it.

We LOVE that it makes us better at what we do
AI helps  us analyse work, unpack briefs, and spot patterns we might  otherwise miss. But it’s still just a tool – the real thinking,  judgement, and direction come from us.

BUT we HATE when clients use it to provide feedback
We love when AI supports the process, but not when feedback comes back copied and pasted straight from it. More than anything, we need to know what you think and  whether it feels right to you.

We LOVE that it clears space for real thinking
AI takes care of the repetitive tasks that eat into creative time  and energy. But that time saved only matters if it’s used to  think better, not just move faster.

But we HATE that it creates unrealistic expectations
AI can speed things up, and we love that. But good work still  takes time, and no tool can shortcut proper thinking and  refinement.

We LOVE that it helps us ask better questions
AI can be a useful starting point, helping us unpack a brief and look at it from different angles. Of course, it works best  when it’s guiding the thinking, not replacing it.

But we HATE receiving AI briefs
A well-structured brief is fantastic, but not when it’s long,  unpolished, and still unclear on what you actually need. Give  us a few honest, direct points over a four-page AI document  any day.

AI has made a lot of things easier, faster, and more accessible. But it hasn’t replaced experience, instinct, or the human side of creativity. If you’re using AI in your business, the real advantage isn’t just using it. It’s knowing where it helps, where it doesn’t, and where real thinking needs to step in.

For the rest, let us do the creative thinking for your brand!

Here’s What We Can Do for You

If your company profile hasn’t been touched in a while, there’s a good chance it’s no longer doing your business justice. Over time, your offering evolves, your positioning sharpens, and your work improves – but your profile often stays stuck in the past. It’s worth revisiting how you present your services, making sure they’re clear, relevant, and aligned with where your business is today, so that anyone reading it immediately understands what you do and why it matters.
